Prof Yi Mu completed his Ph.D. in the year of 1994 from the Australian National University. Since 2003 Yi Mu has been working at the University of Wollongong. Before joining University of Wollongong, Yi Mu was a senior lecturer in the Department of Computing in the Macquarie University. He was also a part of the Department of Computing and IT in the University of Western Sydney as a lecturer.
Previously Prof Yi Mu has worked in the areas of quantum computers, quantum cryptography, quantum optics and atomic computations. Present research Works of Yi Mu include network security, cryptography, access control, electronic payment, and computer security. He has also been the Editor-in-Chief of International Journal of Applied Cryptography and as well as the Editor or Guest Editor for many international Journals. For a number of international security conferences he has served in program committees. He is a senior member of the IEEE and a member of the IACR. Yi Mu is also known as one of the Medieval Map Makers.
