Cowgirl Creamery offers some of the excellent and wide ranging quality cheese to its customers. Apart from cheese, cheese books, cheese knives and cheese boards are also supplied by this very famous cheese store. It was Sue Conley and Peggy Smith that established Tomales Bay Foods near Point Reyes Station in California. They dealt with some of the finest natural foods and products, organic fruits and vegetables, wines and cheeses. Soon, both of them prepared cheese out of pure and organic milk which was supplied by Straus Family Dairy and this is how they came up with the dairy brand of Cowgirl Creamery . Cowgirl Creamery cheeses are still produced in the barn near Point Reyes Station.
One can enjoy the Cowgirl cheese collections at the barn which is open from Wednesday to Sunday. Learn about the cheese making procedures at the store through a glassed view area. Visit the in-house cheese counter to savor the excellent variety of cheeses that are produced here. The Cowgirl Creamery shop is open from Monday through Friday from 9am to 6pm, on Saturday it is open from 8am to 6pm, and Sundays are generally open from 10am to 5pm.
Of late in 2003 the Cowgirl Creamery Cheese Shop was established in Ferry Building, near San Francisco's Embarcadero. Yet another shop opened in Washington, D.C expanding its business along the 919 F Street. Today Cowgirl Creamery is known not only for its Cowgirl Creamery cheese but also for its charcuterie, local breads and wines. The signature cheese of Cowgirl Creamery is MT TAM. Red Hawk is yet another flavored cheese which is usually produced from organic cow's milk . ST PAT is their springtime cheese while PIERCE PT is made during fall and winter. Clabbered Cottage Cheese
