Estée Lauder Cosmetics and Hair Care Brands produces markets and distributes a wide range of beauty care products. It was founded by Joseph Lauder and his wife Estée Lauder in the year 1946 in New York City, New York.
They started the journey with only four products to their name, the super rich all purpose cream, crème pack, cleansing oil and skin lotion. By the year 1948, they were able to open a departmental store account with their collection at the Saks Fifth Avenue in New York. After 15 years of experience in this sector Estée Lauder stepped out of the precincts of the United States. In the year 1960, Estée Lauder opened its first international account in London. Very soon there was another branch in Hong Kong.
In the year 1964, Aramis set a milestone in the perfumes industry. It was the first men's perfume line introduced by a cosmetic company that focused on women's cosmetics. Estée Lauder Cosmetics Brands has been endorsed by Carolyn Murphy, Liya Kebede, Gwyneth Paltrow and Elizabeth Hurley. Estée Lauder Hair Care Brands are also well accepted among the customers.
