The physical map of Europe depicts the various geographical features of the European continent. Unlike other continents, Europe is not a physically separate landmass.
Most of the continent of Europe is a plain, which is a collection of several planes. These are: North European Plain, which includes the North European Lowlands also known as North German Plain; Plain of France; etc. Another one is the East European Plain, which connects Europe with Russia.
Europe also has some major and lesser mountain ranges. Examples are: The Alps, lying in the south-central Europe; the Carpathian Mountains, in the central and eastern Europe; and other mountain ranges, including the Caucasus Mountains, the Kjølen or Scandinavian Mountains, and so on.
There are also a good many rivers in Europe, such as, Danube, Thames, Rhine, Volga, etc.
