Donald Trump’s personal life has often received extensive media coverage and his three marriages, of which the first two ended in divorce, occupied the front pages of the tabloid press.
Trump’s first wife was Ivana Zelníčková, a Czech model whom he married on April 7, 1977, in Manhattan. Trump has three children from his first wife: two sons, Donald Jr and Eric and a daughter, Ivanka. In the year 1988, Ivana became a naturalized citizen of the United States of America. However, by early 1990, tabloid press started reporting Trump’s troubled relations with his wife and his affair with actress Marla Maples. By 1991, Trump’s marriage with Ivana was over and the two parted ways. But in 2015, Ivana revealed that she is on good terms with Donald Trump.
On December 20, 1993, Donald Trump married Maples with whom he was already having a long-running affair. Donald Trump has a daughter from Maples, Tiffany. She was born on October 13, 1993, two months before Donald Trump married Maples. The marriage was a short-lived affair as Trump and Maples separated in May of 1997. In June 1999, their divorce was finalized.
In 2005, Donald Trump married his third and present wife Melania Knauss who is a Slovenian-born fashion model and with whom he had begun a relationship in 1998. The two were married in Palm Beach Florida. Melania became a naturalized citizen of the United States in the year 2006. In the same year, she gave birth to the couple’s son, Barron William Trump.
