White House Shoots Letter to the Committee saying President Trump will not Participate in Impeachment Hearing

  • The White House counsel Pat Cipollone said in a letter to Judiciary Committee Chairman Jerrold Nadler that the impeachment inquiry of the Democrats is “completely baseless”. He went on to say that the House Speaker Nancy Pelosi had asked the Democrats to go ahead with the articles of impeachment even before the committee heard even single evidence. On the condition of anonymity, a senior administration official said that the democrats haven’t given them a fair chance of participating in the entire process. The official said that the predetermined result was already announced by the speaker and went on to express his apprehension that the committee wouldn’t have allowed them to call any witnesses. The Cipollone’s letter said that “House Democrats have wasted enough of America’s time with this charade” and suggested that they shouldn’t waste any “more time with additional hearings”.
