World Maps in Different Projections

World projection map provides map made in various projection styles. Depending upon the purpose and need, a map can be made in various projection styles.
Earth is spherical in shape while a map is flat. Hence, map projections are used to depict the surface of the earth on a flat surface.

Flat maps have to use a projection style so as to display the spherical features of the earth. All projection styles distort the true shape of earth's land and water masses in some way.

Mercator projections, Aitoff projections, Eckert V projections, Robinson projections, Miller projections and World from Space are a few projection styles shown in world projection map.
