Vietnam fireworks factory explosion killed dozens
October 14 , 2013
A military-run fireworks factory exploded in northern Vietnam yesterday, killing dozens of people.
The exact death-toll is still unclear but reports suggest that about 200 people were inside the factory at the time of the explosion.
The workers were attempting to make sure the fireworks were ready in time for the Lunar New Year festival and thus, worked weekends.
According to a policeman, some of the explosives ignited by themselves and caused more blasts. Many of the workers have been seriously burned and the explosions also forced 1,000 people in the neighborhood to evacuate.
