US Senate to end support to Saudi forces
November 29 , 2018
The US Senate has advanced a measure to suspend the support of America for Saudi-led war in Yemen. The senators voted 63-37 while taking the motion forward towards ending the US support. The senators met in a closed session on Wednesday and discussed the Khashoggi murder and Saudi Arabia issue with Defense Secretary Jim Matiss and Secretary of State Mike Pompeo. This is seen as a decisive measure being taken by the Senate to end US military support in Yemen. The director of the CIA wasn't present at the hearing; the absence was strongly criticized.
