US-China Agree to Restart Trade Talks in Osaka G20 Summit 2019

  • During the high-stakes US-China meeting in G20-Summit, both the countries agreed to restart discussions on trade. While the USA said that they will not impose any further tariffs on Chinese exports, the US President Donald Trump said that the trade-talks are back on track. During the G20 summit in Japan’s Osaka on early Saturday afternoon, the US President Trump and Chinese President Xi Jinping held an 80-minute long meeting discussing a wide array of things. While meeting the media, US President Trump said that it was a very good meeting, way better than expected. He also said that “the negotiations are continuing.” Chinese President said that both the countries should avoid “conflict and confrontation”, “promote each other and develop together.” He stressed that the interests of both the biggest economies of the world “are highly integrated and the areas of cooperation are broad.”
