June 7 , 2019
The Prime Minister of UK, Theresa May, is slated to step down today from her position as the leader of the Conservative Party of UK, following her failure to close a satisfactory Brexit deal. She resigned around 15 days back, but will continue to function as the PM till her successor is chosen. As of now, the next target date for Britain's exit from the European Union is October 31. There are 11 contenders in the fray to replace Theresa May, with Boris Johnson and Esther McVey being two important names. The next PM is expected to be announced by July 22.
