Tony Blair could face trial on war crime charges: Corbyn
August 5 , 2015
Labour’s Jeremy Corbyn believes that former UK Prime Minister Tony Blair should stand trial on war crimes charges if evidence indicates he violated international law during the 2003 Iraq invasion.
Corbyn, a frontrunner for the party’s leadership, urged Blair to own up to the understanding reached with the then US president George W. Bush before the war. A strong opponent of the Iraq war, the Labour MP believes it was “illegal”.
