Syria's Assad will comply with UN resolution
October 1 , 2013
Bashar al- Assad is vowing to comply with the terms of the United Nations resolution to destroy the chemical weapons in Syria. He told Italian television that they comply with all the treaties that they sign and "According to every chapter in the agreement, we don't have any reservation. That's why we decided to join the agreement."
Assad also said he was willing to speak with members of the opposition. "If they give in their arms we'll be ready to discuss with them anything like with any other citizen." However, the same doesn't hold true for armed rebels. "We cannot negotiate with the people who ask for foreign intervention and military intervention in Syria," he said.
