Saudi Arabia agrees to reopen Sri Lankan maid's adultery case

The case of a 45-year-old Sri Lankan maid who was sentenced to death in Saudi Arabia on charges of adultery will be reopened. Media reports quoted the deputy foreign minister of Sri Lanka as saying that Saudi Arabia has agreed to reopen the case. The woman, who is a mother of two, along with an unmarried Sri Lankan man was convicted in August and was sentenced to death by stoning. Meanwhile, the man’s punishment included 100 lashes.
