Protesters in Sudan have broken links with military council

  • As per recent reports, protest leaders of Sudan have informed that they have broken off their links with the military council, as they have replaced an eminent leader Omar al-Bashir. Mr Bashir's regime is accused of being composed of 'remnants'. The sources informed that thousands of protesters were assembled outside the army headquarters in Khartoum to conduct a meeting to announce a civilian council, that they want to see in power. The military reiterated that this time they are committed to hand over power and wish to have a joint military-civilian council.
