Parliament attacker's video reveals 'ideological and political motives'
October 27 , 2014
Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, the gunman who attacked Canada’s parliament, had recorded a video of himself that indicates he was “driven by ideological and political motives,” according to media reports.
Bob Paulson, commissioner of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police, said there was “persuasive evidence” to support this claim.
Thirty-two-year-old Zehaf-Bibeau killed a soldier before he was shot and killed inside the Parliament in an audacious attack that shocked Canada.
Paulson said a thorough analysis of the video was still being conducted.
