Palestine: PM's convoy hit by an explosion

  • The convoy of Palestinian PM Rami Hamdallah was hit by an explosion when he made a rare visit to Gaza. The Palestinian authority called it an assassination attempt. According to the reports of local media, Mr. Hamdallah was unharmed but casualties have been reported. Seven people are said to be injured in the blast. Security precautions and necessary proceedings have already taken place in Gaza. The blast took place when the vehicles entered the coastal enclave through the Erez crossing with Israel. Three cars were severely damaged.
