Nigeria: Boko Haram militants kill 10 villagers in Adamawa state
May 26 , 2015
At least ten people were hacked to death in a raid by Boko Haram militants on a northeastern village in Nigeria, government officials said.
The Islamist insurgents targeted Pambula-Kwamda village in Adamawa state and attacked residents with machetes when they were asleep, reports said.
In a major offensive in August 2014, Boko Haram had captured Madagali district, where the village is located. But by March this year, the Nigerian military had flushed out most of the militants from the district.
