Nepal blizzards: 11 more bodies found

  • Eleven more bodies have been found in Nepal after snowstorms and avalanches struck a popular Himalayan trekking route and other areas. While the official death toll in the disaster has touched 39, other estimates indicate that many more may have perished.

    The victims include foreign trekkers from several nationalities.

    On Saturday, the bodies of nine Nepali nationals were spotted by a rescue helicopter in Dolpa district. The bodies of two tourists from Japan were found on the Thorong La mountain pass, reports said.
