LAUSD to pay $88 million to settle 30 cases of sexual abuse

The Los Angeles Unified School District (LAUSD) will pay an amount of $88 million to settle 30 cases of sexual abuse, district officials said. As per reports, LAUSD is the second largest public school district in the United States and this is the second largest settlement in its history. The sexual abuse cases involve 12 children at Telfair Avenue Elementary School in Pacoima and another 18 at the De La Torre Elementary School located in Wilmington.
