John Kerry warns Congress over perils of rejecting Iran nuclear deal
July 29 , 2015
US Secretary of State John Kerry has warned that America’s negotiating credibility could collapse if Congress failed to back the Iranian nuclear deal.
He argued that if the US attempted to renegotiate terms of the deal, the international coalition that had enforced economic sanctions would rapidly break down and Iran would get closer to making an atomic bomb.
Kerry told a House foreign affairs committee that if Congress rejects the nuclear agreement the “Ayatollah will not come back to the table”.
