Iraq: Another mass grave found in Sinjar; Isis role suspected
November 29 , 2015
A mass grave containing bodies of more than 100 people from the Yazidi sect has been found near Sinjar town in Iraq, reports say.
Iraqi and Kurdish forces retook Sinjar from Islamic State earlier this month.
Islamic State had seized Sinjar in August 2014, and ever since there have been reports of mass killings and enslavement of Yazidi girls and women.
This is the sixth such grave found in the area, Iraqi officials say.
