French Minister Accused of Photoshop of Alpine Climb

  • A French politician unwittingly came into the limelight recently when he tweeted a picture of an icy summit in the Alps, but changed the angle of the picture to make it look more treacherous. Soon, he was at the receiving end of the trolls, who cast doubts over his version. However, to counter the claims, Eric Woerth, who is a 'senior right – of – centre MP' tweeted that his climb to Aiguille d'Argentiere photograph was authentic. In a world of social media where it becomes difficult to identify what is real and what is fake, the minister asked the users to contact the mountain guide who had taken the photo.
