Egypt's former president Mubarak sent back to prison
July 17 , 2012
Egypt's public prosecutor has ordered that former President Hosni Mubarak be sent back to prison, citing an improvement in his health.
Last month, the 84-year-old was transferred from prison to a hospital following reports of deterioration in his health.
He was believed to have had a series of strokes and on a life support machine. Reports emerged that he was "clinically dead" but were later denied.
In June, he was imprisoned for life for his role in the deaths of protesters.
It is not yet known when Mubarak will be transferred to prison.
