Car bomb explodes at state security building in Cairo

  • At least six policemen were injured when a state security building in the Egyptian capital of Cairo was hit by a car bomb early Thursday morning. No deaths have been reported so far in the explosion that occurred in the northern Shubra district of the city. According to media reports, a statement released by Egypt's Ministry of Interior said that a man had suddenly stopped his car in front of the state security building, jumped out of it and fled on a motorbike that was following the car. Later the car exploded injuring the policemen.
