Boko Haram: 70 bodies found outside Damasak
March 21 , 2015
Security forces found 70 bodies dumped outside the town of Damasak in Nigeria. The town, which had been under the control of Boko Haram for months, was recaptured by troops from Niger and Chad on Saturday. According to media reports, many of the bodies were partially mummified indicating that they had been killed sometime back; however, it is not yet known who the victims were. President Goodluck Jonathan, whose government has been severely criticized for failing to uproot Boko Haram from Nigeria, had earlier said that the militant group will lose all its territory within a month.
