Bernie Sanders leads the National Polls, California, and Texas

  • The latest average of the National polls shows that Vermont Senator Bernie Sanders is leading by 10.8 percentage points from former US Vice President Joe Biden. While Sanders has received 29.6% support, Biden is a distant second with 18.8%.  Biden is likely to get 39.7% support in South Carolina followed by Sanders with 24.3% support. However, the average of the latest state polls in California and Texas shows that Sanders is ahead of Biden by 18.3% and 8% in California and Texas respectively. With primary going on in South Carolina, Bernie Sanders seems to have his eye on Super Tuesday (March 3, 2020), during which primaries will be held in 14 US States and one territory. 1,344 delegates (or 34% of all 3,979 pledged delegates) will be awarded during March 3 Super Tuesday. Till now Sanders leads the race to 1991 delegates by winning 45 delegates, followed by Pete Buttigieg with 25 delegates and Joe Biden with 15 delegates. Just a few days before Super Tuesday, Bernie Sanders’ campaign has raised more than $2.7 million from the donors in Colorado till January 2020, which is larger than $1.8 million raised by US President Donald Trump.
