35 million people are victims of modern slavery, says report

Over 35 million people across the world are victims of modern forms of slavery, a new report has said, with India topping the list with nearly 14.29 million slaves.
Other major offenders are China (3.24 million), Pakistan (2.06 million), Uzbekistan (1.2 million), and Russia (1.05 million).
Slavery includes forced labor, forced marriages, commercial sexual exploitation, and human trafficking.
The report was published by an NGO based in Australia called the Walk Free Foundation (WFF).
