200,000 More People Could Leave Mosul as Iraqi Forces Push into IS-held Districts

  • As per reports, the United Nations on Thursday mentioned that around 200,000 people could run away from Mosul as Iraqi forces move toward the last Islamic State militants-held districts.

As security forces started a new front against the IS militants in Mosul earlier this month, Iraqi authorities as well as aid agencies are struggling to handle a surge in displacement.

Reports also say that backed by a U.S.-led coalition, Iraqi forces may claim victory in less than two weeks.
