14 killed in suicide attack on NATO patrol in Afghanistan

  • A suicide bomber killed 14 people, including three NATO soldiers and four police in Afghanistan's eastern Khost province on Monday.

    Around 37 people were also wounded in the attack.

    According to witnesses, a suicide bomber wearing a police uniform struck as U.S. soldiers patrolled the city of Khost. Provincial Governor Abdul Jabar Nahimi said the bomber had been riding a motorcycle packed with explosives.

    A NATO spokeswoman confirmed that a suicide bomber had carried out the attack.

    The Afghan Taliban has claimed responsibility for the attack.
