Twitter launches #Music service

Twitter launched a new music app on Friday that will recommend songs based on who users follow.
Tracks can be played directly in the app usings services such as Rdio, Spotify and iTunes. The software also displays songs your followers are currently listening to and includes suggestions from artists.
The move is similar to social networks such Spotify and Facebook incorporating music recommendations into their services.
The Twitter app, called #Music, will soon be available to download for Apple's iPhone.
No app has yet been announced made for users on Google's Android or the Windows Phone platforms but there will be a web browser version.
It will initially be available in the U.S., UK and Ireland, Canada, Australia and New Zealand.
