Tor users now have Facebook advantage

  • Users can now access Facebook through Tor, the so-called ‘dark web,’ using encrypted data — which means users of Tor will not be mistaken for accounts that have been hacked, according to media reports.

Accessing the social networking site through Tor was already possible, but now users won’t lose Tor’s “cryptographic protections,” according to Facebook.

Countries like China have tried to disrupt the Tor network.

Facebook is the first major technology company to support Tor formally.
