South Korean president asks officials to boost cyber security

  • South Korea's President Park Geun-hye has asked officials to boost cyber-security after designs and manuals of plant equipment were leaked, media reports said. Online hackers had posted data online, but officials say the plants remained safe. South Korea is not ruling out the involvement of North Korea in the cyber-attack.

    The president has directed officials to inspect safeguards on South Korea’s important facilities. The president said the data leak was a serious situation and was unacceptable.
