Snowden says he'd do it all over again
March 11 , 2014
Edward Snowden went into exile after leaking NSA data but he mentioned during a video talk broadcast that he wouldn't hesitate to do it all over again.
"I saw the Constitution...being violated on a massive scale," he said. Snowden added that the US faces "tremendous intelligence failures because we're monitoring...everybody's communications, instead of the suspects' communications."
"We need a public oversight...some way for trusted public figures to advocate for us," he said. "We need a watchdog that watches Congress, because if we're not informed, we can't consent to these policies."
