Scientists have gained tantalizing insights into what lies at the Earth’s inner core.
According to the team, whose findings appeared in the Nature Geoscience journal, the iron crystal structures in the innermost region are different from those seen in the outer section of the inner core.
In order to study the planet’s core, scientists take the help of echoes produced by earthquakes.
