Virginia jogger injured by flying deer
December 10 , 2013
The chances of this happening are probably one in a million: Krystine Rivera was hit by a flying deer when the 27-year-old was jogging in Virginia on Thursday.
A 71-year-old driver hit the animal with her SUV and the impact resulted in the deer flying into the air.
The injured jogger was taken to a Loudoun County hospital, where she was treated for a concussion as well as several cruises. Rivera told the Washington Post that she had gone for a run after having a bad day at work but things ended up getting much worse around mile five.
Reports suggest that she didn't see the animal coming and lost consciousness immediately.
