Super Bowl grabs best TV ratings in history
February 5 , 2014
America's TV love affair was not affected by a blowout victory and the initial low ratings didn't last too long either.
Super Bowl XLVIII grabbed the attention of 111.5M viewers, which is the biggest number enjoyed by any show in the country's history. Moreover, Bruno Mars' performance was a bigger hit than Madonna's in 2012 and Beyonce's last year.
The game's rating peaked the most when the Seahawks took a lead over the Broncos and Entertainment Weekly notes that the five most-watched shows in the U.S. are all Super Bowls.
