July 13 , 2012
Saudi Arabia is to send two female athletes to compete in the 2012 Games, according to the International Olympic Committee (IOC).
Sarah Attar will compete in the 800m and Wodjan Ali Seraj Abdulrahim Shahrkhani in the judo competition.
Saudi authorities lifted a ban on women competing in the Games last month.
Their inclusion means there will be a female entrant from every competing nation for the first time in the history of the Games.
Female athletes from Qatar and Brunei are also due to take part for the first time.
