Pistorius apologizes to Steenkamp's family
April 8 , 2014
Oscar Pistorius couldn't handle his testimony yet again and threw up several times when a forensic pathologist discussed the bullet wounds that took the life of Reeva Steenkamp. The athlete and others present in the court couldn't even look at the graphic photos shown by pathologist Jannie Botha.
The athlete also began to apologize to his dead girlfriend's family. "There is not a moment and there hasn't been a moment since this tragedy happened that I haven't thought about your family," he said. Pistorius struggled to talk clearly since he was emotional. He also mentioned that he has had trouble sleeping. "I have terrible nightmares about what happened that night. I wake up and I can smell blood."
