Colombia football chief quits

  • Colombian football federation (FCF) president Luis Bedoya has quit amid allegations linking him to FIFA's corruption scandal, a media report said. In a statement Bedoya cited personal reasons for his decision, Xinhua reported. Earlier this year, Bedoya said he had made all his own personal bank accounts and those of the FCF available to investigators, adding that he would step down if irregularities were found. "There are no secret or inflated accounts," Bedoya said in June, days after seven FIFA officials were arrested in Zurich. Source: IANS
