Brett Brown to coach 76ers

  • San Antonia Spurs assistant coach Brett Brown will soon be the new coach of 76ers. 

    The deal hasn't been officially announced and the two people who gave out the information requested anonymity. 

    Brown has previously coached the Australian national team at London Olympics in 2012. He was one of the several candidates interviewed by 76ers. 

    Brown has been a part of the Spurs since 2002 in a variety of ways- he has been on the bench since 2006-07 and had spent about 14 seasons coaching in Australia before joining the Spurs in 2002. 

    He was also the assistant coach for Australia's national team in 1996 and 2002 in the Atlanta and Sydney Olympics.
