Gone With the Wind actress Ann Rutherford dies

  • Ann Rutherford, best known for playing Scarlett O'Hara's youngest sister Careen in Gone With the Wind, has died at the age of 94.

    Rutherford, who had been suffering from heart problems, passed away at her Beverly Hills home on Monday night.

    She launched her movie career in Westerns during her late teens and went on to star as Mickey Rooney's girlfriend, Polly Benedict, in the long-running Andy Hardy series.
