Grey, the new spin-off novel of the spectacularly popular Fifty Shades of Grey, has smashed the first week sales record in the UK for adult books.
In its first three days it sold a whopping 647,401 copies, beating Dan Brown’s 'The Lost Symbol', the previous record holder.
The new book tells the Fifty Shades story from the point of view of Christian Grey, the male protagonist.
It’s become a hit in the US as well, selling over 1.1 million copies in four days, despite unfavorable reviews from critics.
