Ang Lee's Life of Pi to open New York Film Festival

Ang Lee's Life of Pi has been chosen as the opening night film at next month’s New York Film Festival.
The adaptation of the novel by Yann Martel is set to premier on September 28.
The 3D film is a fantasy about a boy marooned on a lifeboat with a Bengal tiger.
The New York Film Festival ends on October 14 with Robert Zemeckis's Flight, a thriller starring Denzel Washington.
