Tech titans to prevent new Heartbleed
April 25 , 2014
Tech giants obviously don't want to go through another Heartbleed so they're spending money to ensure that they don't have to.
Big names including Google and Facebook are funding an effort together in order to support essential projects online.
Wired notes that the initiative will also help infrastructure and security tests that surround the massive security flaw that is Heartbleed. Linux Foundation is driving the Core Infrastructure Initiative and has "decided to do what we always do: work with the industry to raise money and fund developers directly so they can do what they do best, develop."
