Marissa Mayer to Step Down from Yahoo Holding Group Board in California

  • According to reports, chief executive Marissa Mayer, Yahoo headquartered in California, is not going to be on its board after the company sells its emails, mobile apps, advertising tools and website to Verizon. A holding company will own anything that will be left after the sale, and will be named Altaba.

    The main assets will be a 35.5% stake in Yahoo Japan and a 15% stake in Chinese e-commerce firm Alibaba.

    Reports also say that five other current members are going to step down from the board.
