Gun control activists to forgo their Starbucks fix
August 23 , 2013
A group of gun control activists are encouraging their supporters to skip a day of Starbucks this Saturday since the company allows customers to carry loaded guns inside its stores.
This incident comes less than two weeks after advocates of gun rights appreciated the chain for letting people carry their weapons proudly while grabbing their coffee.
The company says it complies with local laws but the fans of gun control said businesses have a right to ban weapons if they deem fit.
One customer, this May got accidentally shot in the leg in Florida when someone's gun went off.
Founder of the group Moms Demand Action for Gun Sense said many moms are not aware of the fact that their children could be standing next to someone with a loaded weapon at Starbucks.
