Air bag glitch prompts Ford to recall 850,000 cars

  • Ford is recalling 850,000 cars as it suspects there could be a short circuit risk that may prevent their air bags from being deployed in a crash situation, the automaker said.

The company said it was not aware of injuries or accidents linked to the glitch.

Ford Motor said it would replace the cars’ computer modules that are the cause of the potential trouble.

The models in the recall include Ford C-Max and Escape cars from the past two years.
