Yemen: Saudi-led air strikes on Houthi rebels continue for third night
March 28 , 2015
Saudi-led forces have carried out air strikes against Shia Houthi rebels for the third night in Yemen.
The advancing rebels are attempting to seize Aden, the port city where Yemini president Abdrabbuh Mansour Hadi was seeking shelter before he fled to Saudi Arabia.
Meanwhile, street fighting has been reported between pro-Hadi forces and the rebels.
The Saudis, who are predominantly Sunni, accuse Iran, the major regional Shia power, of supporting the Houthis. The US has endorsed the Saudi military campaign in Yemen.
