Wildfires near Cote d'Azur and Corsica

Large areas of the forest – almost 4000 hectares – close to Saint-Tropez as well as Corsica, a well known tourist places have been burnt down by wildfires and this has led to France asking for assistance from Europe. France has already deployed more than 4000 firefighters and troops as well as 19 water bombers to support them in order to put down the fire. Till now, a minimum of seven firefighters have been injured. Alongwith that 15 police officers are facing issues with smoke inhalation. The fires started on July 24.
